Flipboard was founded as one place to find the stories for your day, bringing together your favorite news sources with social content, to give a deep view into everything from political issues to technology trends to travel inspiration” (Flipboard.com).
Flipboard is a versatile digital tool that can be used to curate internet resources and share them collaboratively with students and colleagues. I use Flipboard as a way to curate internet sites for my own lesson planning, research, and virtual library. The curated sites are stored online as Magazines. You can also share Flipboard Magazines of curated sites with students and colleagues. These Magazines can become collaborative spaces where students and colleagues can add to the content. Students can create and share Magazines with you and other students to collaborate on research projects and presentations. There is a comment feature on each page or site associated with a Magazine where students can write a brief introduction, reflection, or summary of the source. How do you envision using Flipboard?
